TSC will host the largest

Arizona Chinese New Year Concert

Sunday, January 31, 2010, 2pm

Centennial Hall, University of Arizona

Tickets: $15, $12, $10

Students, faculty, seniors and groups: $12, $10, $8

A pre-concert Chinese Fair with food, arts and crafts, and Lion Dances starts at 12:30 pm at the Centential Hall Courtyard

Celebrating a tradition of thousands years old, this extravaganza of Chinese art and culture features performers from the Shaolin Chinese Martial Arts School, who appeared in the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, the award-winning acrobat Haitao Duan from Las Vegas, and three local choruses accompanied by the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, who will have returned from their first China concert tour in January 2010. With colorful Chinese dance and music on stage, this fusion of East and West will be an unforgettable event to usher in the Year of the Tiger.
